Brand new facility. Great move in experience. We could not have hoped for nicer staff or a better facility. Close to UF Campus and hospital complex. All a great value.Full Review
Very easy access to the facility and layout is vehicle friendly. Due to limited access once inside the gate, parking to on/off load can be an issue depending on the consideration of others (often poor). Bring your own 2 wheeler; again due to the lack of consideration by other renters. The locking devices are a scam. You have to pay $20 for a lock (can't use your own) and the lock is not returnable or usable again since it is a specialty for the latches on the units. They don't have a master key (good thing). Lose the key and it's $20 to remove the old one plus $20 more for a new one. You have to purchase their insurance instead of having to provide proof of insurance. $12 a month minimum. On a positive note, the facility is clean and the climate control seems to work well. The staff is polite and cordial. They were willing to help in any way they could.Full Review

I had an amazing experience with Midgard Storage. Heather was extremely friendly and helpful. The storage area is well kept and easy to navigate. I would highly recommend this storage facility to others in the area.Full Review
Midgard Newberry storage is a nice facility with excellent staff; however, it was not what I was looking for as a student at the University of Florida. I messed up and did not do my research and I went with them as the first thing I searched. For a student at UF I would recommend some place closer and it may be cheaper. I went in thinking the 5X5 unit would cost me $80 and I ended up spending $140. If you are looking for storage unit in the Newberry area it is a great place with great customer service, but like I said I would recommend other storage units to UF students. To sum up great storage unit facility for anyone not a UF student. If you have no closer options as a UF student it is good quality.Full Review

The person in the office when we did paperwork was great. She even got on her golf cart and come over to help us. We were paying much less in Cedar Key but we're ok with the price because it's bigger and I know there is more competition.Full Review

Extremely happy with this storage facility! The customer service has been excellent, very thorough and courteous. The facility is looks to be very secure, with tall fencing and security gate. We are relocating our home, so needed storage during the process. Beautiful clean storage for a very reasonable price!Full Review
Easy access for large units by drive thru roads. Roads and facility well maintained. Kim the administrator very helpful and able to answer questions. The parking pads are crushed stone, very level and clean. Facility reflects the concern of the owners to maintain the upkeep of the business. Easy keypad access.Full Review

Archer, FL RV Storage Tips

Most Common Types of RV Storage

Covered storage - While it’s usually the more expensive option, covered RV storage is the safest, most secure way to store your camper or trailer. In most cases, covered storage is simply a parking spot with a roof, however some facilities offer an indoor option which is just an over-sized version of a traditional self-storage unit (with drive-up access of course).

Uncovered storage - This storage option is basically an open parking space on the facility’s property, however because of its simplicity it’s also the least expensive option for RV storage. Some facilities do have paved parking areas specifically for motorhomes, but either way your RV will be outdoors and exposed to the elements – we recommend purchasing a cover if you go with this option.

Tips on How to Store a RV/Trailer at a Storage Facility

  • Measure your RV before you rent your unit to make sure you choose the right size
  • Give the camper a good cleaning before placing it in storage
  • Apply a coat of wax
  • Change the motor oil
  • Flush out the waste tanks
  • Purchase fuel stabilizer
  • Inflate the tires
  • Unload everything from your motorhome
  • Make sure the slide-outs are retracted
  • Once in storage, disconnect the battery
  • Make sure light can get into the motorhome
  • If possible, leave the vents open
