While pricing and time on paperwork were satisfactory (both ranking 3), customer service unfortunately ranks a 2. When I reported rats in my unit, the employee insisted there had never been rats at this location. When I showed her pictures of rat crap all over my belongings, she then handed me a box of rat poison. The security and cleanliness unfortunately rank a 1 ( or even less) because of the rats and also that none of the overhead lights work. I attempted to drop off some item before work at 6:30am one morning and the area around building Q was pitch dark. My vehicle lights saved me. Each time I have gone in to check on the rats and my items, there is always some metal off the roof on the ground or other electrical material laying on the ground. I notice in the available units description is lists "premium location". Building Q is at the back next to an overgrown lot. I take pictures. While the location was convenient for me-across from Austin-Bergstrom Int'l Airport- other aspects make choosing this location a horrible mistake for me. I was in a pinch and needed storage quickly and mistakenly passed on different locations.

We reserved a storage unit at A-1 Mini Storage in Austin via selfstorage.com. It was the most convenient location, had the most cooperative staff as well as the most reasonable price among all the hard-to-book storage facilities we tried. The process of booking a storage unit was complicated by the fact that only my apartment contents were to be moved; I am 2 states and over 1000 miles away and obviously unable to personally sign the lease as required. He was kind enough to allow me to send authorization for the rental via email, I put my check in the mail to them and voila! I had a storage unit ready for my movers. I was very appreciative of the time and effort that A-1 Mini Storage put forth to ensure I had a safe and secure space for my belongings.
