No problems with setting up the storage. Was not happy that something I bought and had not opened or used could not be returned when I found out I did not need itFull Review

We are currently moving things into this facility. We have been there twice in the evening, and some of the lights are out. For security reasons they need to be replaced. Otherwise, the units are clean and we have had no other issues.Full Review

I would reccomend this facility to anyone. Very nice people and well priced.Full Review
Working through the phone this company answered all concerns and their help was timely. So I rate the customer service good by phone not so much in person at the facility I went through. When going into the main office it was a little more difficult to get the help or information in timely manner the person who knew more what to do was not in office the other called company and got help what to do we were there 30 minutes then we're told they would follow us to unit to make sure was cleaned but never came we waited 10 more minutes so we just inspected ourselves put our lock on and left. Overall despite internal experience at office I would recommend Colonial Storage on location cleanliness and value and phone customer service.Full Review

Inglis, FL Boat Storage Tips

Most Common Types of Boat Storage

Indoor storage - Indoor storage units are the safest, most secure option for any watercraft, however because of that they are also the most expensive. Prices do vary by size, and some small boats/jet skis can fit in a 10x10 or 10x15 unit, but your average size vessel will likely require a 10x20 unit.

Outdoor storage - Outdoor storage is essentially just an open area at the facility’s property where you can park your boat. It’s the least expensive option and some facilities do offer both covered and uncovered parking spots, however we advise against using outdoor storage if you live in an area that’s prone to violent weather.

Tips on How to Store a Boat at a Storage Facility

  • Measure your vessel before you rent your unit to make sure you choose the right size
  • Give it a good cleaning before placing your boat in storage
  • Drain all the water and make sure it’s is dry
  • Apply a coat of wax
  • Change the engine oil
  • Once in storage, loosen the drive belts
  • Purchase a cover to keep your watercraft better protected
