This storage facility has been a nightmare for our family and shows a longstanding pattern of neglect and unsafe conditions. I discovered a mouse infestation in my unit that caused extensive damage to my belongings, including irreplaceable sentimental items. I was forced to clean every item individually and throw away nearly half of what I owned. Management’s only response was offering a temporary second unit for a few weeks — no compensation and no real resolution. The infestation is ongoing. I currently still have dead mice in my unit. There is no food stored in the unit, and the mouse problem began over the summer. Things escalated further when my husband arrived before gate closing time and attempted to leave 5–10 minutes after 11:00 PM, only to find he had been locked inside the facility. Gate hours are not clearly posted outside. Despite there being someone on-site, it took approximately 25 minutes of repeated calls and honking before anyone responded. We were then told he would not be let out unless we paid a $50 cash-only fee. This is not isolated. My parents have rented units here since the facility opened. Their unit door was broken and impossible to access for years, requiring three different management teams to address it. When it was finally repaired, the wrong hardware was installed, and the door is still extremely difficult to open. Their unit is currently covered in mouse droppings, and although it has not yet been fully emptied, we fully expect to find additional damage. Between the active rodent infestation, loss of sentimental property, unsafe gate practices, cash demands, and years of ignored maintenance, this facility has proven itself unreliable and unsafe. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

If someone is locked in after you close, you cannot charge them $50 to be let out. That is attempted kidnapping. What kind of company does that? They are lucky they didn’t get a felony charge.

I've had a unit at Gateway for over a year and I really would not want to be anywhere else. It is always very clean. Someone really takes pride in the appearance. The security and cameras are adequate but not intrusive. The office staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They live on site and keep a close eye on the place but never intrude. The only thing to remember is the gate locks at exactly 11:00 pm and you cannot get out if you are inside the gate. I have sent several people here for storage and will continue to recommend Gateway Storage and their great owner and staff!

This is a great storage facility. I have been a customer for nearly 15 years. They are always helpful and friendly. Their prices seem very reasonable. I have used three different sites as I got larger trailers and Al the sites are good. They put down a new layer of gravel a few years ago which cured the small puddles after heavy rain.
