I was hesitant accepting a 10x10 storage unit on the third floor but there is a lift that made all of my moving SUPER easy. Both ladies that work there (I’m so sorry, I don’t recall their names) were approachable, friendly and very helpful! I’m very happy with my storage unitFull Review

I give you a 4 because the staff was good and on it, but my door and lock is broken and she explained takes a lot to get fixed, so my belongings are in there, not sure when door will open or if I can lock, but over all I had a good experience.Full Review
Was concerned of course during a Pandemic that I would find what I needed and feel comfortable with during these strange times. Set up everything online quick and easy, met at the facility where they had the office set up for safe distancing and limited physical requirements. Was a safe and secure move in and the facility kept communication simple and easy through text and email. Very professionally done.Full Review

Gotta Store It

18820 Meridian EPuyallup WA 9837525 miles away
4.5 out of 5 - Based on 8 reviews

Starting at $232.00

Avoid this place like the "plague". We were building a house and decided to use Gotta Store it. We used their services for the last 16 months. After 2 months we noticed rat feces. Notified the office. Their response was to contact our insurance. Rat infestation was not covered by renters insurance. Front office then said they will lay traps and request a copy of our key so they could monitor. They place sticky traps which did a great job catching rat droppings but no rats. Over time the infestation worsened. Our couch, chairs, dinning room table/chairs, canvas children's photographs, and daughters mattress/box spring ruined with rat feces, urine, and chewed. Contact the front office again and their response was to contact the insurance. Once again insurance does not cover this damage. Talked to Jeff who basically said there was nothing they could do because we didn't their additional insurance. So, if you care at all about your belongings DO NOT USE Gotta Store It.Full Review

Kathy at the Gig Harbor Public Storage facility made my experience excellent. She really cares and goes above and beyond to make sure the customer is satisfied with their storage space, and if their not, she does her best to switch them to another space. I trust Kathy and that means that I trust Public Storage.Full Review

Lacey, WA RV Storage Tips

Most Common Types of RV Storage

Covered storage - While it’s usually the more expensive option, covered RV storage is the safest, most secure way to store your camper or trailer. In most cases, covered storage is simply a parking spot with a roof, however some facilities offer an indoor option which is just an over-sized version of a traditional self-storage unit (with drive-up access of course).

Uncovered storage - This storage option is basically an open parking space on the facility’s property, however because of its simplicity it’s also the least expensive option for RV storage. Some facilities do have paved parking areas specifically for motorhomes, but either way your RV will be outdoors and exposed to the elements – we recommend purchasing a cover if you go with this option.

Tips on How to Store a RV/Trailer at a Storage Facility

  • Measure your RV before you rent your unit to make sure you choose the right size
  • Give the camper a good cleaning before placing it in storage
  • Apply a coat of wax
  • Change the motor oil
  • Flush out the waste tanks
  • Purchase fuel stabilizer
  • Inflate the tires
  • Unload everything from your motorhome
  • Make sure the slide-outs are retracted
  • Once in storage, disconnect the battery
  • Make sure light can get into the motorhome
  • If possible, leave the vents open
