As a long term tenant with multiple units at this location while it was Extra Space Storage, I was initially concerned with the transition to Storage Star. However, Andrew (the new site manager) was very easy to work with and addressed all of my concerns, working with me to ensure that my needs are met going forward and therefore making the decision to continue my tenancy easy. He was extremely kind and made sure to follow up on my questions and concerns proactively, and the resolutions he facilitated were very amenable. Highly recommend working with Andrew!

I was planning to sign a lease at this facility, but I decided against it after seeing that the parking lot was completely unplowed at 11AM, the day after heavy snow. This made it impossible for me to pull my U-Haul, full of things, to the loading doors. The store manager was outside shoveling the parking lot by hand in freezing temperatures of about 6°, which I sympathize with. Given the lack of basic amenities , like a plowed parking lot, during the winter months in Chicago, I believe this facility will not provide a quality experience. I spent several hours on the phone speaking with the manager the previous week, and was looking forward to working with him. But clearly it was not meant to be. Hopefully they will work on providing their team with the essentials needed to run a successful operation.

My first experience with extra space storage was nothing short of amazing. The person at the counter was kind and courteous and was eager to answer all of our questions and she was really patient with us. We felt really comfortable signing up and the whole process was very smooth. If you’re new and are looking for a storage space In the area, I would definitely recommend this place.
