From the moment I walked in, Emonie completely changed the experience for me. I had been comparing multiple storage facilities, weighing prices, locations, and reviews but what ultimately made me choose Storage Post was her. She answered every question thoroughly, walked me through the options clearly, and made the entire process seamless. Nothing felt rushed or transactional. It’s rare to come across someone who combines professionalism, warmth, and efficiency the way she does. You can tell she takes pride in her work. She is truly an asset to Storage Post, and the reason they earned my business.
I had such a great experience at Storage Post! From start to finish, everything went super smoothly thanks to Imani. She was so kind, helpful, and patient—really took the time to make show me different units and explain the process. You can tell she genuinely cares about helping people and making things easy. It’s not often you come across customer service this good, trust me I worked for Apple and truly understand and have high expectation on what true genuine customer service feels like! Big shoutout to Imani for making my day and turning what could’ve been a stressful process into a really pleasant one. I truly hope who ever is reading this they get to experience Imani sincere, authentic, and over kind personality.
Storage Post Yonkers, NY – Review
- @storagepost owner pleaae reach out to me if you are sincere.
I’ve been a long-time tenant at Storage Post Yonkers, with my current unit being 04B35. Over the years, I’ve stored thousands of dollars’ worth of professional and personal equipment from my careers in automotive, healthcare, fitness, and cleaning industries. I’ve always paid on time, kept my units organized, and maintained a clean, respectful space.
Unfortunately, my experience with the current lead staff has been marked by harassment, intimidation, and unprofessional behavior. What started as a simple misunderstanding over a rental rebate turned into a year-long pattern of targeted hostility. After he mishandled paperwork for a unit transfer related to my employer, I began avoiding him — but instead of acting professionally, he went out of his way to provoke me.
He often made sarcastic remarks, stared me down as if trying to assert control, and behaved as though he owned me or the facility. Every encounter felt tense and disrespectful. The harassment escalated when he publicly called me out in front of another customer and an employee about a supposed “48-hour” package pickup rule — something I had never once been told in over a decade of renting here. When I walked away, he aggressively chased after me, threatening to terminate my rental.
What’s most disappointing is that after all these years of loyalty, I am the one being forced out — not because of anything I did wrong, but because of one staff member’s personal grievances. It’s unfair that a long-term, respectful tenant is being pushed out while unprofessional employees continue working unchecked.
The facility itself has also declined over time. Many doors are broken or difficult to close, parking has become extremely tight and not friendly for moving trucks or trailers, and the building feels outdated. Management has even shut off the air conditioning to “limit climate control,” despite advertising climate-controlled storage. While the company saves money, tenants receive no compensation for the reduced service.
After years of on-time payments, respect, and loyalty, I expected better. Storage Post Yonkers has gone from a dependable facility to one filled with harassment, neglect, and poor management oversight.
I strongly urge Storage Post Corporate to investigate this location and the conduct of its lead staff. Long-term tenants like me deserve to be treated with fairness, professionalism, and respect — not hostility, intimidation, and neglect.
I am trying to go from two rooms to one and just want to say that Emonie has been more than helpful for me to reach that end. I tried to give her some money but she would not take it. She is very pleasant and an asset to the storage post. Hector and Cunard are very nice too. Helen Foy
Update!
I have been a long-time tenant at Storage Post Yonkers, storing thousands of dollars’ worth of personal and professional belongings tied to my career in automotive, healthcare, fitness equipment, and cleaning machines. Throughout the years, I have always paid on time (with the rare exception of expiring cards), kept my units tidy, and never left behind garbage.
I’ve generally gotten along with staff, though turnover has been frequent. Unfortunately, my experience with the current lead staff has been extremely negative. Before I even opened an additional unit, I was recovering from a work-related injury and on workers’ compensation. At that time, I asked if my rent increase could be reconsidered due to my financial situation. The lead staffer refused, showing no empathy for my circumstances as a long-term paying customer.
Later, when I did open another unit, he misled me regarding a promised rental rebate, failed to properly process a transfer for my employer, and only sent incomplete or generic paperwork. After realizing I could not rely on his follow-through, I stopped engaging with him directly.
Instead of maintaining professionalism, the lead staff responded with ongoing sarcasm and targeted remarks whenever we crossed paths. This behavior escalated to harassment over the span of a year. Most recently, after I returned from traveling for work, he publicly confronted me about picking up a package “late,” despite my decade-long history of never having an issue with packages at this facility. When I expressed my frustration, he escalated the situation, chasing after me in an aggressive manner and threatening to terminate my rental.
In my view, the lead staff has abused his authority and acted unprofessionally, creating unnecessary hostility toward a long-term tenant. My career and life’s investments are stored at this facility, and it is unacceptable that they are being jeopardized over personal grievances rather than company policy.
Update 02.16.2025
I’ve been a loyal tenant at **Storage Post (131 Saw Mill River Rd, Yonkers, NY)** for nearly a decade, but my recent experience has been nothing short of disappointing.
1. **Poor Facility Conditions** – The place is **dirty**, the carpets **smell bad**, and many of the **main entrance door handles are broken** across different areas, making access difficult and unsafe. The **stairwells also feel unsafe**, and overall maintenance is severely lacking.
2. **Safety Concerns** – The facility does not feel secure at night, as there are often **individuals lingering around**, creating an uncomfortable environment for tenants.
3. **Unreasonable Rent Increases** – The rent increases are excessive—far beyond what’s reasonable compared to standard salary increases. When I requested a **reduction or adjustment**, I was met with no flexibility, despite being a **long-term, paying tenant**.
4. **Lack of Customer Service** – The **manager is unprofessional** and unwilling to work with tenants. The kiosk system is unhelpful, and there was no real assistance from staff when I needed support.
5. **Suspicious Reviews** – Given my experience, I find it hard to believe this facility has **so many 4.5-star reviews**. I strongly suspect that **staff are soliciting or manipulating reviews** to mislead potential customers. If you're considering this place, **don’t be fooled by the ratings—visit in person and see for yourself**.
What’s worse is that **I even brought them additional business by recommending my employer to rent here**, yet they still showed no appreciation or willingness to work with me. It genuinely feels like they want to **push out loyal customers** rather than retain them.
After nearly a decade of loyalty, I’ve had enough. **I will be looking for another storage facility and ending my business with Storage Post.** If you’re considering renting a unit here, **think twice**—the conditions, safety, and service are **not worth the hassle**.
