This was the best experience I have had in Austin with renting a storage unit. I was able to do almost everything online. When I got to a point that I was stuck on I called customer service and the agent walked me through to the finish line. She stayed on the phone with me until she was sure that I was able to get into the gate and open my unit. I wish every facility had this type of service. The unit was CLEAN!!!! This isn't a complaint against the company or facility but rather an attempt to improve an area for the benefit of your customer which more than likely the very ones causing the issue but never the less something really needs to be done.
I know the next time I rent space I'll certainly make sure it's not a problem at that facility. That problem is the lack of 4 wheel cards or maybe their called dollies. If someone locks it in their storage area for what ever reason the rest to us suffer due to not being able to use our space after driving all the way there to do so which snowballs the problem if we were hoping to do or go someplace else. Now we have to turn around and go back home and unload and hope that there is one the next time we try taking something up there. Perhaps a location for carts to be stored that are monitored letting your employee's know who used it last.Full Review

Covered RV Storage in Austin
While it's usually the more expensive option, covered RV storage is the safest, most secure way to store your camper or trailer in Austin. In most cases, covered storage is simply a parking spot with a roof, however some facilities offer an indoor RV storage option, sometimes referred to as enclosed storage. This type of RV storage is an over-sized version of a traditional storage unit with drive-up access of course.
Uncovered RV Storage Austin
This RV storage option is basically an open parking space on the storage facility's property, and is the least expensive option for RV storage. Some RV storage facilities in Austin do have paved parking areas specifically for trailers and campers, but either way your RV will be outdoors and exposed to the elements. If you opt for this storage type we recommend purchasing a good RV cover.
Tips For Storing a RV and Trailer in Austin, TX
- Measure your RV before you rent your unit to make sure you choose the right size
- Give the camper a good cleaning before placing it in storage
- Apply a coat of wax
- Change the motor oil
- Flush out the waste tanks
- Purchase fuel stabilizer
- Inflate the tires
- Unload everything from your trailer
- Make sure the slide-outs are retracted
- Once in storage, disconnect the battery
- Make sure light can get into the RV
- If possible, leave the vents open
