My sister's storage unit got broken into and they are treating her like she is the suspect not the victim and threatening HER with criminal trespass if she returns to move her things into a better, more secure facility! How is that legal? There is nothing right about any of this!!

Storage units are physically well built to avoid the flooding that can happen when Colorado gets all its moisture in one storm. The concrete pads are about a half inch raised above the concrete driveway outside them. That's deserving of a star. But overall, customer-service quality went way down (and prices went slightly up but inflation continues to happen everywhere so I might otherwise forgive that) after this place got bought by an out-of-state management group. There's not even anyone at the desk most days, just iPads configured to video call their customer service line, and the sad thing is, these video calls getting a real person on the line are still in fact an improvement over the chatbot on their phone line. I'm not impressed, but I'm also not upset enough at anything specific to move my stuff to a different facility. (but a buddy of mine has different frustration tolerance and moved as soon as the downgrade became clear - previously we were both renting at this storage faciliity because it's convenient to our apartment complex)

Parkside was acquired by FreeUp Storage recently. First couple of times in, service was great. Problem is, you can't talk with anyone locally when you call. Phone calls are automated. Unless you stop in, but then there's not always someone there to help you. I'm trying to find out why I'm being charged monthly for insurance when I produced proof of insurance coverage. No one responds to calls, no one is there to help. Wouldn't recommend rental here or new ownership. It shouldn't be this difficult to get a callback from this company. Parkside was great, Evan was great. Not so much now. If anyone knows where Evan works now, I'd gladly move my stuff there!
