Update- 12/2025 I originally gave a 5 star ⭐️ review based on customer service from Tanyesha . She initially advised me of the cleanliness of the facility and stated she was doing everything possible to get it addressed. Which was originally caused from the new construction. At that time I trusted that it would be addressed because of the integrity she showed, therefore I proceeded with renting the unit. After attempting to utilize the facility it was unbearable because of the amount of dust and the odor. We even attempted to wear dust mask 😷 to help control the sneezing. I expressed my concerns with the smell and condition to the online contact form and was immediately notified the area manager Stacy. I then expressed my concerns to Stacy and mentioned the odor will damage our furniture and clothing. She offered to purchase totes to store our items but unfortunately a mattress and chairs will not fit in the tote. Then proceeded to state she will keep me posted and was working to get it resolved. After several weeks I realized the situation was not being resolved and decided to move out. I was able to move out one of our 2 units before the due date, and the other unit 2 days after the due date. I still had to pay $249 and requested compensation. Stacy was not willing to work with me at all. I have a lot of respect for Extra Storage Space, but I’m extremely disappointed in the management at this particular location and the amount of time and money this has cost me. 10/2025 Tanysha assisted me with renting 2 storage units at this new location. Her customer service and knowledge was superb and it was very apparent she takes pride in her work. Thank you for your assistance and welcoming us to the community.

Very disappointed with our experience at Extra Space Storage. Our rate increased 40% in just three months, and we never received notice of the increase. That alone is unacceptable. When we first moved in, the experience was already concerning. The facility had a strong odor, and there was a dead roach near our unit while we were loading. When we asked the attendant if there was an issue with pests, she said it was her first time seeing any bugs. That response did not give us much confidence but we were already half way through loading. We originally planned to rent for two years while our home is leased, but after this drastic rate hike and lack of communication, we’re making arrangements to move out as soon as possible. And will also cancel our other 2 units with Extra Storage. Be cautious of promotional offers like “one month free.” They may seem appealing upfront, but if you plan to stay longer than a month, be prepared for significant rate increases. Overall, very upset and would not recommend.

This place doesn't work for people who are going through a hardship! We haven't had much luck with everything and they seem to think it ok to laugh at people who are going through a hard time! They will cut your lock after 2 months if you're late! Stay far away from this place! They offer no help when they want you to vacate! Also you have to pay cash if you want your stuff! The manager isn't very kind!

I recently rented a space at the Davenport, FL location. The facility is new and clean. The prices are great! There are carts for transporting items. I appreciate the app which can be used for access, rather than typing in my code each time. Tanysha in the office is fantastic—super friendly and very helpful! I’ve enjoyed my interactions with her. This is a great place to store extra items!
