Midgard Self Storage - Newberry

300 Southwest 143Rd StreetNewberry FL 3266910.3 miles away
4 out of 5 - Based on 10 reviews

Starting at $68.00

Midgard Newberry storage is a nice facility with excellent staff; however, it was not what I was looking for as a student at the University of Florida. I messed up and did not do my research and I went with them as the first thing I searched. For a student at UF I would recommend some place closer and it may be cheaper. I went in thinking the 5X5 unit would cost me $80 and I ended up spending $140. If you are looking for storage unit in the Newberry area it is a great place with great customer service, but like I said I would recommend other storage units to UF students. To sum up great storage unit facility for anyone not a UF student. If you have no closer options as a UF student it is good quality.Full Review
I love the facility and everyone staffed seems friendly. However they were supposed to invoice me 50% off first two months and instead invoiced me 100% for the second month. I paid the 50% thinking it was an error they would resolve. I then emailed and called to point out the invoicing error. I thought everything was getting worked out, but when I went to the unit the same night as emailing and calling I found the unit was locked by midgard and I cannot get into it. Hopefully they Will resolve this, but even if they do I would not in good conscience recommend a place that would lock someone out of their things with no notice. Even having conversations with them that day and thinking all was good with never a mention of being locked out.Full Review

Most Common Types of Car Storage in Gainesville, FL

Indoor Storage in Gainesville

Much like traditional self-storage, indoor storage units are the safest, most secure option for your vehicle in Gainesville, however because of that they are also the most expensive. Prices do vary by size, and some small cars/motorcycles can fit in a 10x10 or 10x15 unit, but your average size automobile will require a 10x20 unit.

Outdoor storage in Gainesville

Outdoor storage in Gainesville ranges from an unpaved lot to a dedicated parking spot on the facility grounds. Typically these spots are uncovered, however some outdoor options do have canopies you can park under. These spots will cost more than their uncovered counterpart, but they are still a much cheaper option than indoor vehicle storage.

Tips on How to Store a Car at a Gainesville, FL Storage Facility
