The facility is always clean and welcoming. Because of this facility I will always look for XtraSpace Storage when I have a future need!

I had a very disappointing experience at this Extra Space Storage location on W. Devon Ave, largely due to my interaction with Toya. From the start, her attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional. She showed very poor communication skills and lacked even the most basic level of customer service courtesy. It felt like any questions or concerns I had were dismissed rather than addressed. Instead of being helpful, she came across as impatient and unwilling to assist, which made the entire process frustrating and uncomfortable. In my opinion, she would greatly benefit from additional training or refresher courses in customer service and communication. A business that deals directly with customers should prioritize respectful and clear interactions, and unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I also found it concerning how reviews seem to appear—there appears to be a pattern where negative feedback is quickly followed by glowing 5-star reviews specifically praising her. While I can’t verify this, it does raise questions about the authenticity of those ratings. Additionally, be cautious about pricing. The rates may seem reasonable at first, but increases are later explained as “market adjustments,” which can feel misleading after you’ve already committed. Overall, I would not recommend this location based on my experience. If I had the option, I would rate it lower than one star.

Toya was so lovely. Had amazing customer service and was able to help seamlessly transition a storage locker facility over. I appreciate her being so knowledgeable and so patient. I can clearly tell that Toya enjoys her job and helping people. Thank you!

Do not rent here!!! It’s a nice facility but they will sell you on a certain price that will immediately go up potentially within even a few months. I was quoted a price online and received an extra discount for paying for my first 6 months in full. Now that the 6 months are up I received notice that my cost is now going to be double what I’m currently paying. Significantly higher than the rate I was quoted even before the discount I received for paying 6 months in full. When I called to ask about the rate change, I was told had I not paid in full it probably would have gone up even sooner. Essentially, they will quote you a price just to get you to sign up and move all of your things into the unit and then as soon as possible hike that price up to whatever they want hoping you won’t want to move your things to another storage facility. It’s a month to month rental, so technically it is within their terms, but it feels very intentionally bait and switch. I’d have never rented here had I known it was going to increase so quickly and double what I agreed to. I hate companies that are sneaky this way. I will be moving my things to a new storage facility.

Just left this place, I work for a moving company and the very nice young lady by the name of Toya made everything hassle free and was very polite and professional while ensuring that our clients belongings and their privacy were never compromised. Five star service all the way. Thanks Toya!
