I have rented several storage units at various Public Storage facilities over the past several years and this one located at 47th & Raytown Road is by far the best in many ways. The property is very well kept, no trash or litter strewn about, the individual units and main buildings are all in good, clean condition and working order, no broken doors or peeling paint, the grounds are well lit, all lights were working and the customer service provided by the property manager, CJ, was very friendly, professional, thorough and accommodating which made the leasing process a very pleasant experience, she let me know that my business was appreciated and that she would be happy to help if I needed anything further. How refreshing it is to do business with someone who actually cares, takes pride in what they do and does it so very well with the utmost of sincerity. First of all, I've had the unit for a total of two weeks, so it's very difficult to give a 5 on Security (due to the lack of experience). The staff was extremely nice, it was clean, it was a great value, didn't take too long to fill out paperwork. Overall good experience so far.Full Review

Customer service is great.. friendly and very helpful staff. The units are clean and i like that they have indoor as well as outdoor accessible, climate controlled units that are affordable. The rental truck and carts that are available on location make moving your things easy. This is my second time (both between moves) using this facility and I will continue to go back if/when I need storage services in the future.Full Review

After a job transfer sent me to the west coast I needed long-term storage near Belton and an ex-inlaw KCMO family. I chose Scott Avenue but it was not called Central, then. It's changed hands 3 times in the 10 years I've been renting. I paid on time and for years no problem. Then I get a call asking me if I've moved out seeing that my door was up. Turns out my lock was cut months ago and all my things were stolen. Apparently the criminals came over a period of many visits to clear me and other units out. I was still paying full rent on an empty unit for 5 months. I filed a police report over the phone but the officer was blunt," this happens here all the time." For all the money I've paid out I was hoping for a little security but no. It was just a waste. /sFull Review
