We rented at this facility based on the reviews but am extremely disappointed and frankly mad as heck. We rented one of the climate control units to store some furniture. During one of our routine checks, we discovered mold on our furniture. When we entered the building we were overcome by a musty odor. We were coerced into purchasing their insurance just to find out the will not cover mold remediation. Very disappointed in the attitude Rachel had toward our situation. No apology no offer to assist. If you do have a climate-controlled unit at this location you might want to check your items.Full Review

I am extremely happy with my decision to rent a storage unit here. The facility is very clean. The manager is helpful. She took the time to answer any questions that I had. I reserved a unit online, and before we started any paperwork, Pam took me on a "tour" to go look at the unit and even showed me the next size larger so I could compare them.
There is the ability to bring your vehicle inside the loading/unloading bay. Several carts are also available to load your items on to minimize the numbers of trips you need to take. The elevator is nice and large to accommodate larger pieces of furniture.
I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone with storage needs.Full Review

After a job transfer sent me to the west coast I needed long-term storage near Belton and an ex-inlaw KCMO family. I chose Scott Avenue but it was not called Central, then. It's changed hands 3 times in the 10 years I've been renting. I paid on time and for years no problem. Then I get a call asking me if I've moved out seeing that my door was up. Turns out my lock was cut months ago and all my things were stolen. Apparently the criminals came over a period of many visits to clear me and other units out. I was still paying full rent on an empty unit for 5 months. I filed a police report over the phone but the officer was blunt," this happens here all the time." For all the money I've paid out I was hoping for a little security but no. It was just a waste. /sFull Review
