One of the units we rented was stuck shut and we couldn't get in. There was no onsite person available to help. We had to call and get another unit rented to us so we could unload our truck. We missed an appointment due to this delay. You should probably check to see if the unit you rent is open and accessible before showing up with a rental truck that needs to be returned on a deadline (that same day). The phone support staff were helpful, but they can only do so much via remote phone call.

I moved into my storage over I year ago. The 2nd day I went to the locker, the whole half of my locker was wet. There was puddles of water. I called and I was told that I can't move to a different one...that the way they were built when there's excess rain or melting snow and ice that the locker will leak. I said no one told me that prior to signing up for a locker. I sent my renters insurance policy over to them 4 times, and they still charged me for their insurance which was for only $1,000 and if anything on the locker is damaged for any reason...KO Storage gets the money not me for my damaged items and yet I have to pay $14.00 for their insurance. I also was in the ICU unit at the hospital. I came in by ambulance unconscious. I was there 2 weeks. I got out and went to my storage unit to get my medications and medical equipment. They locked me out of my locker. It was only 5 days late. I called and paid immediately. I explained my life threatening medications in the unit and I paid and needed their lock removed. I ended back up in the hospital because it took them 5 days to remove the lock because the manager only works one day a week. I had to pay $17,000.00 in medical bills because of it and they won't prorate the rent the days I couldn't get in to it. It took the Chisago County Sheriff's office to get them to unlock it. Today I scheduled my move out. I've had enough. She tried to ask me to stay..I said no. I have to say...Max helped me schedule my move out. She was the first person with KO Storage that was nice, kind and professional.
