I didn't want to move anything in to storage, but I had to. Jeremy was friendly and showed me 3 different units to fit my budget. Great service that I had to get. Hopefully, this company won't go up on my rent like they did 2 years ago, which made me move my belongings out in the first place. I also found some interesting sticky stuff on the floor as I moved things in. Of course, I cleaned it up, but it was definitely unexpected and nasty.

On January 2026 I received a call from the property manager stating that there wasn't a lock on my unit. I have been a customer since 2016 at this same property. Never had a issue. Now that its Devon Self Storage the cookie crumbles. The back lock to the unit was still in place but the front lock wasn't in place. I have never not secured my unit do to the business that I own. Went to property and saw that the lock wasn't there. The property manager also informed me that while checking units, it was a unit on each floor without a lock and I was one of them but I always secure my property with a lock. My lock was cut from the front. The property manager gave me information to file my claim. I proceeded to file claim. I followed all instructions that was given to me and also provided police report. After 3 to 4 weeks of waiting my claim was denied. I was told that the entrance to my unit had to be damaged. My question is how would it be damaged when the lock was lock. You pay high price for your property to be secured and insurance is in your monthly payments. Only to have to take a loss. I would never refer anyone to do business with Devon Storage. You've lost a extremely loyal customer.
