I’ve been using the St. Charles location for about 3 years now and it’s been very easy process since the beginning! I’m a college student and whenever I first came to Extra Storage they communicated with me about all their fees and what comes with storing with them. They’re very accommodating and will work with you to get the best rate that won’t break the bank!

Beware of online pricing! I've been renting a unit here based off of location, but after a few months they raised the price almost doubling it, saying I had an online special that was only good for that time. Now it's been a year and they're doubling the price again... Making it almost $200 for a 10x10.

The Staff is Amazing!!! 5 stars for the staff!!! The space was very clean (thanks to the staff) but the top of the storage rooms are totally open! I accidentally booked this space I didn’t know there are 2 different sights on the same street. I looked at 6 different companies thought I was booking a space i’d seen. Some storage companies the top or sides are not flush (meaning there is some space) but this is a lot. It’s a major design flaw. I booked it on a sale so I guess I’ll stay for the deal but to me this is not the point of a storage space.

Of all the choices available, I chose Extra Space again, phenomenal from booking space to move in. Only thing I can see improve is the option of the automatic door when unloading a full uhaul

If I could give less stars I would because their rates are deceptive. We went from $80 to over $100 and now our rate has increased again to almost $200. I called and spoke with someone who advised there isn’t even a current “permanent manager” that I can speak to because the location does not have one . After advising I would like to work with them to try and not have to move our stuff around especially since we were not properly notified of all of these increases they advised they sent a “postcard” letting us know of the price increase. I let them know I did not get the notice because if I did I would have taken control of this situation when I got the notice . They told me yes I did but and that they only notify by postcard no email or text/ call notification. I would recommend not looking into this establishment if you need a steady payment because from what I have seen in the short time we have been here is within months they will triple your monthly rates and continue increasing over time.
