Friendly service, fair price, even got a nice discount for signing up for auto pay. Several convinient locations.Full Review
We arrived to find the original unit we rented was wet looking which turned out to be oil from the next door unit. They immediately moved us to another unit that had pallets for us to put things on. The only down side was that we had to go back and fill out new paper work for the new unit and the office is clear across town! I wanted to just change the unit number on the paperwork and leave it at that.Full Review

Lock & Guardian Self Storage

1536 Mullowney Ln #100Billings MT 591013.9 miles away
5 out of 5 - Based on 1 review

Starting at $109.00

I made a reservation for space during weekday business hours but did not move in until the weekend. The kiosk was easy to use and the real person who answered the phone was very helpful to get me moved in with a door lock and gate code. The driving aisles are wide enough to pull a long trailer in for access. The exterior door accessing the aisles to the heated/cooled units was sufficiently wide and made moving boxes and furniture very easy. I would definitely recommend storage at Lock & Guardian for short term or long term storage needs.Full Review

Billings, MT RV Storage Tips

Most Common Types of RV Storage

Covered storage - While it’s usually the more expensive option, covered RV storage is the safest, most secure way to store your camper or trailer. In most cases, covered storage is simply a parking spot with a roof, however some facilities offer an indoor option which is just an over-sized version of a traditional self-storage unit (with drive-up access of course).

Uncovered storage - This storage option is basically an open parking space on the facility’s property, however because of its simplicity it’s also the least expensive option for RV storage. Some facilities do have paved parking areas specifically for motorhomes, but either way your RV will be outdoors and exposed to the elements – we recommend purchasing a cover if you go with this option.

Tips on How to Store a RV/Trailer at a Storage Facility

  • Measure your RV before you rent your unit to make sure you choose the right size
  • Give the camper a good cleaning before placing it in storage
  • Apply a coat of wax
  • Change the motor oil
  • Flush out the waste tanks
  • Purchase fuel stabilizer
  • Inflate the tires
  • Unload everything from your motorhome
  • Make sure the slide-outs are retracted
  • Once in storage, disconnect the battery
  • Make sure light can get into the motorhome
  • If possible, leave the vents open
