Bluebird Storage - Rochester

I first looked at Bluebird storage about a month ago as I wanted to be sure that the building was climate controlled. I damaged a lot of clothing when I used an outdoor storage the last time I moved. A month plus goes by and I walked in the door where Elizabeth greeted me AND remembered my first name! I was very impressed. It was a very easy process to find a location and secure the spot where my belongings from yet another move will reside until my next home is ready. I already love Bluebird and I haven't even moved my stuff in yet!

This is my second time using Bluebird. The facility is excellent and temperature regulated, and super clean. The office staff was excellent, answered all my questions, and took me smoothly through the registration. I am also utilizing the free moving service offered - what wonderful service to offer renters. I couldn't be happier and will definitely recommend their business and services.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience this morning was disappointing. While I was moving furniture out of the storage building, an employee informed me that the doors could not be propped open. I understood the policy and had no issue following it. My issue was with the way it was communicated. From the moment she approached me, her attitude was unnecessarily rude and confrontational. She spoke to me as if I had repeatedly ignored this rule before, even though we had never met. To make matters worse, I wasn't even the person who had propped the doors open—I was simply a beneficiary. When I explained that I wasn't the one who opened the doors, she responded by threatening to check the security cameras, as if I was lying about it. That level of hostility was completely uncalled for. I have no problem with businesses enforcing their policies. I do, however, expect to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, and unfortunately that wasn't my experience here.

Excellent facilities. The booking staff is great. The folks that maintain the facilities keep everything clean in all of the buildings. Security cameras everywhere, and are monitored. Rates are a little high, however, I would recommend Bluebird Self Storage for their storing needs.

My wife and I are moving after 40 years in one house. Never rented a storage unit before but decided to get a jump on moving before putting the house on the market. Honestly, we have never experienced such knowledgeable and caring customer service people as Iesha, the manager, and Elizabeth her assistant. What a great experience. Now to get all our family stuff into the unit! Oh by the way they have a courtesy program where they send a 10 x 10 box truck to your home and they will load it and deliver it to your storage unit free of charge.
