I’ve rented here before and it used to be one of my favorite storage locations because the customer service was great. Unfortunately, today’s experience was appalling . A female staff member was super rude, disrespectful, and highly unprofessional, and full of attitude which made it seem like she didn’t even want to work there. I will be contacting corporate to report this and request a refund. I will not be renting here again, and I’ll be choosing a different storage facility that provides respectful, professional customer service.

Absolutely insulting. After paying a monthly fee over 160 I am beyond annoyed. I've had my items stored here , couch, shoes, clothing for summer and winter . Family photos and books were infested with rats. We went to take items out and noticed dropping all over our furniture and items. Our mattress had to be thrown out.. I filed a claim and I dont know who these people think there are to offer 500 for compensation. You expect me you use this couch again. All my clothes had urine rat stains. I will be filing in small claims court this is ridiculous.. only good thing is Aaron. That young man works hard

WARNING🚨 WARNING🚨WARNING🚨 17 months ago, I moved out of my apartment in Newark New Jersey and needed somewhere to store my two bedroom two bathroom worth of furniture, 17 months later I Came to move my stuff out of storage, and every single item was destroyed due to a major rat Infestation, suede couches, California king size Mattress, including bedroom set Etc. And on top of that disaster, I was still charged for the month because I was unable to move my stuff out due to it being hazardous material at this point. If you have any sense at all, please I beg you do not store your valuables at this location‼️‼️ A incident report was filed On 1 May today as I write, this review is now 13 May and I’ve yet to have any communication concerning this major problem

I just want to give Chana and Quadeara a big shout out. Thses two Professional women at there separate location treated my wife and i with excellent customer service. They both took there time to explain and show the different units sizes and go over rates.... We decided to rent a storage unit from Smart Stop...

I had a good experience with SmartStop. Chana was very helpful, patient, kind, and understanding, especially since this was on the last day of my lease and a stressful situation. She walked me through everything clearly and made the process much easier.
