I recently rented a storage unit at Devon Self Storage in Camden, New Jersey, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the entire facility felt bright, secure, and exceptionally well-maintained. The storage areas are spotless—truly one of the cleanest facilities I’ve seen. No dust, no musty smells, and the floors and hallways were immaculate. It’s clear they take real pride in keeping the place in top condition, which gave me complete peace of mind about storing my belongings there. What really stood out was the staff. Every single employee I interacted with was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. They made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. A special shout-out to the young man Chris—he was incredibly helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. He walked me through all the options, answered every question I had and even helped me figure out the perfect unit size without any pressure. His positive attitude made what could have been a mundane task actually enjoyable. If you value clean, accessible facilities and clear, straightforward communications with integrity, then I recommend storing your goods at Devon. Chris, the property manager, provided outstanding service from the moment I first rented the unit online. He called to acknowledge the setup of my account and to welcome me to stop by for my first visit. And this is where he really demonstrated a level of customer service and integrity that was top-tier: when I was arranging for my visit, he noticed that the unit I'd rented online was flagged as not being true to size. He told me he wanted to confirm this by measuring it himself and then calling me back to discuss whether or not I wanted to keep it. He did this within 30 minutes and revealed that the unit was, in fact, significantly smaller than advertised. Proactively, he offered two other units for my consideration and informed me that there'd be a slight ($5) price difference. Then when I showed up in person, he reviewed all the same information and walked me through both units so I could see and decide for myself. He also provided me with context that explained why units were priced as they were, which I found to be informative and straightforward—especially since I was leaving a storage facility that I felt was overcharging me. Chris's explanation helped me understand why that was the case. Switching units required some back-end account changes which he reviewed thoroughly himself before talking me through them. He answered all of my questions eagerly and thoughtfully. We did a test run of using my gate code and testing the lock to ensure that both worked before I was on my own. From start to finish, he did such a beautiful, kind job of ensuring my needs were acknowledged and tended to. Highly recommend this facility (brand new!) and property manager to anyone who appreciates straightforward, warm, and courteous service with a side of integrity.
