UPDATED Review 6/3/26 Manny from management reached out to me personally and took the time to address my concerns. After discussing the situation, he listened to my experience and worked with me to resolve the issue. My original frustration stemmed from the lack of communication and the conflicting information I received during the move out process. However, I appreciate that management took my concerns seriously and made a genuine effort to make things right. Throughout my time renting with Bright Box Self Storage, the staff was always friendly and professional. I believe it's important to recognize when a business takes responsibility and works to correct a problem. Thank you to Manny and Brian for reaching out and resolving the matter. That level of customer service, accountability, and professionalism deserves recognition. *********************************************** I hate to even write this review because during the couple of months I was there, the team was kind and friendly. However, the lack of communication throughout my move-out process was extremely frustrating. I gave the required 30-day notice to vacate my unit and was never informed that I also needed to come in and sign additional paperwork to complete the move out process. On Saturday, I rented a U-Haul from them and arrived at 4:10 PM. I was told I would be charged an additional $20 because they were about to close. At no point during that interaction was I told I needed to sign any paperwork regarding my storage unit. They were also open on Sunday, and again no one contacted me or informed me that additional paperwork was required. On Monday, I noticed I had been charged for the month of June even though all of my belongings were removed before June 1st and I had already provided my 30 day notice. When I came in, I was told I would receive only a prorated refund because it was now June 1st. This directly contradicted what the manager had previously told me. I specifically asked multiple times whether I would receive a full refund since I had vacated before June 1st and provided proper notice, and the manager repeatedly told me yes. To make matters worse, I had to take time out of my workday, pay tolls, and use gas to drive to the facility, only to be told by the staff that they couldn't help me and that I would have to come back another day to speak with the manager. This was especially frustrating because the employee had just spoken to the manager on the phone. You don't play with people's money. The inconsistent information, poor communication, and lack of clarity around the move out process created a situation that could have easily been avoided. While I appreciated the kindness of the staff, the overall experience left me very disappointed.
Brian was incredibly helpful during a time when I really needed support. He made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. I’ll definitely be recommending this storage facility to friends and family. Great storage space and excellent customer service!

Brian, Joseph and Christian were fantastic throughout my entire moving process. I had a difficult move in storage and they made it much less stressful by making suggestions, helping me decide the size of the unit I needed and getting supplies and renting the U-Haul. I was back and forth throughout the week and they were always courteous, understanding and helpful.
Our family stored our stuff in this storage building for a year and it was perfect for our needs. 24 hour access, great quality doors and very clean. Management was always supportive when it came to moving truck placement in the parking lot and load ins and outs. I highly recommend using this storage unit in North Jersey.
