I had a very good experience at Devon Self-Storage in Yaphank. Jeremy was excellent explaining all that Devon Storage offers, answered all my questions and I felt comfortable with the security features to keep my belongings safe. The Assist GM, Jason, was also very helpful. Jeremy and Jason was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this company for your storage needs.

Needed a new place to store our business belongings and Jeremy and Jason at Devon were great. I inquired online and they got back to me right away to setup a time to see the place at my convenience. I didn't have to wait, they showed me everything and gave me all the info and answered all my questions. Super friendly and didn't push for anything. I would definitely recommend using them.

The storage unit is very good and allows one to access it with the passcode most of the time, even during weekends when no one is at work. However, their advertisement of "first month free" is false, which brings my rate from 5 stars down to 3. I started the rental on 11/12 and scheduled to move out on 12/10, but I ended up paying $240. Upon online reservation, I was asked to pay $66.31 immediately. And then on 12/1, I got a bill of $173.70, which confused me a lot. I went to their office and asked the person working there, who told me that $173.70 was for the rental of November, and the "first free month" meant December, which was actually the "second" month. So then he told me that there is no hurry for me to move out on 12/10 as I had the unit free until the end of December, so I did and planned to later end the rental online following his advice. However, I could not find the lease ending option at the online portal and made a call on 12/26. The person on the phone then told me that I had to notify them 13 days in advance so there would be a follow-up bill for the 8 days that extended into January. I mean, WHAT? On the next Monday (12/29), I drove to the Storage office to end the rental and everything worked out smoothly. I asked specifically about the remaining bill and got a confirmative "no", which was a relief. Overall, the experience was a mixture of ease, satisfaction, disappointment, confusion, and deception. The unit is a solid 5 stars, but the service is at most 2.

Jeremy is absolutely amazing! I came down to Devon in desperate need of a storage unit it was a real emergency. I was upset and frustrated, unsure of what to do next. Then I met Jeremy, and everything changed. He was so polite, understanding, and extremely helpful. He walked me through the entire process, calmed me down, and assured me that everything would be alright. He took the time to show me the perfect unit and made sure I felt comfortable. The property was clean, safe, and very wellmaintained. Before coming to Devon Self Storage, I had visited a couple of other facilities. Honestly, I wish I had come here first. The other places were dirty, and the staff didn’t seem to care at all. One lady even said, “That sucks,” when I told her about my situation. Jeremy was the complete opposite kind, professional, and genuinely caring. Thank you, Devon Self Storage, and thank you, Jeremy. God bless you and the entire Devon family!
