Writing on behalf of my brother and his pregnant women- This place is a health hazard. There is a severe rat infestation throughout the building. Not “one or two mice” like they try to hide behind in the contract I’m talking about rats everywhere, rat feces and urine covering our belongings, and even dead rats. All of our items are destroyed. Clothes, furniture, personal belongings and worst of all, INFANT ITEMS. Baby clothes, a crib, and other baby belongings were covered in rat poop and urine. This is not normal, this is not acceptable, and this is not something anyone should ever have to experience while paying a monthly storage fee. Yes, the contract mentions pests, but not to the level of a full infestation and contamination. This is an infection risk. Rat droppings and urine carry serious diseases. If someone gets sick from touching this, who is responsible? Certainly not the customers who trusted this company to maintain a safe facility. CubeSmart should at the very least hire proper pest control and maintain the building, but instead they let it get so bad that everything is destroyed. And now? No one responds. No one helps. No one takes responsibility. No assistance with removing items, no cleaning support, nothing. If you care about your health, your family, or your belongings especially if you have children — do NOT store anything here. We paid every month for storage, and what we got was damage, contamination, and total neglect. I will be contacting the NYC Department of Health and other city agencies because this situation is dangerous and unacceptable. It’s heartbreaking and beyond frustrating to see all of my kids’ clothes ruined because of the rat infestation including the baby stuff we were saving to use for the new baby. My girlfriend is pregnant, and she can’t even go near any of this or try to help because it’s unsafe. There’s rat poop and urine everywhere, and it’s a serious health risk. Seeing everything destroyed like this is overwhelming. It’s not just clothes and baby items it’s the time, money, and care we put into preparing for our kids.

I’m not someone who leaves reviews unless I’ve truly been impressed—and this experience absolutely deserves one. The level of service and customer care I received here was outstanding. Kenny, the manager, is on top of everything and genuinely attentive to customer needs. I came in with a minor issue, and it was addressed immediately—before I even had time to be frustrated. I’ll be the first to admit that when I’m upset, I can be a bit challenging to deal with. Mario handled the situation with a calm, kind, and respectful demeanor that I truly appreciated. He’s very down to earth; we even shared a few laughs, and by the end of the visit I felt confident enough to upgrade my storage size. That’s how business should be done. As a businessman and business consultant myself, I recognize when someone takes their role seriously and takes pride in their work. Mario does exactly that. This is top-tier customer service, and it absolutely sets this place apart. Highly recommended.

Called first ask to make sure they was open and if they had a 5x7 unit available and they said we don’t but we have a few 5x5x8 Available. Said perfect I’ll be right there. Can’t remember who helped me was very helpful. No BS showed me a bigger unit just in case and showed me the one I asked for. Was very detailed with all the rules and information of the facility. Easy process with payment and I was done in less then 5 min.
