The WORST storage company to go with. Customer service itself for the company is fine but if you live in Raleigh and go to the one on MILLBROOK RD. Reconsider!!! Manager acts like the money you pay for your storage goes directly into her pocket. They don’t send out any emails claiming that you’re behind on your storage until it’s too late and theirs a LEIN on it. Then they want to send out emails and answer phone calls when NO ONE answers on a daily basis when you try to check the status of your unit. The district manager is NEVER near the phone. Not even sure if she’s a real person. Had 3 different people try to contact her on my behalf, on 3 different dates and times, including myself, no one EVER got an answer. They don’t accommodate to what life throws at you, like not getting paid while on maternity leave and not being able to pay your storage. Instead, there’s “nothing they can do” but to start selling your stuff by Christmas 🙃 so no. This company is not people oriented. All about their money. Called to ask a question and before I could even let them know that I won’t be renting with them next month out of CURTESY she hung up so quick. So, I will not be letting them know but knowing them they will charge me anyway and I CANNOT WAIT TO SUE IF THEY DO
TERRIBLE! I am stuck with an emergency and the office is closed during business hours and no sign in the door. I called customer service and they connect me with the district manager who never answers her phone or returns any messages. The back gate doesn’t even close and you can walk into the automatic doors - no security code - so anyone can literally walk in and break your locks. This business acquired extra plus storage and they also increased the rest significantly. The customer service is also useless… they literally can’t comprehend the solution beyond their script.
This has been the worst storage experience I’ve ever had. My rent was repeatedly increased without any notice, which felt completely arbitrary and unprofessional. On top of that, the facility is consistently dirty and poorly maintained. I will be moving my belongings elsewhere and would strongly advise others to think twice before storing their items here.
Such a positive experience from start to finish. The manager was incredibly helpful, patient, and thorough in explaining all the available options. It made what could have been a stressful process feel easy and straightforward.
