Facility Overview & What to Expect
Verified Customer Reviews
Throughout my years of rental of at this place, my cost incessantly increased culminating at an additional $160 per month to my original fee. Problems began as soon as SROA bought out the former ownership. Rats, burn out lights, rusted shut doors, codes not working, locked lot dumpster, a PITA to pay if not using auto-pay and constantly changing hours resulting in me being locked in the facility yard. I actually had to call the police to escape, and I was informed it was common for then to have to rescue people bc of operating hour changes. Into my contract, they insisted I have insurance at an additional payment each month. Upon moving out this month, I discovered something happened in an adjacent unit upsetting & smashing an entire shelf of well-packed one of a kind art pieces and breaking my favorite features of an antique desk. Art & Antiques owned for years & purchased randomly across the world for love not investment. THE INSURANCE is proving likely useless as they want original receipts for everything. Recently, while trying to move out, despite being a 10+ year client, I was charged an entire month (+ exorbitant late fee) for being a day longer thanks to a below freezing ice storm. At my time of leaving, individual area employees were perfectly courteous regarding service & contact. Yet they have zero ability to do anything regarding dates, charges, fees, insurance, paperwork, etc. ⭐️One Star is for being able to reach an actual courteous human, albeit their hands are tied to be helpful.
Have rented units at this location for many years. Originally a mom and pop business. When sold to store-it.com has gone downhill ever since. Looks nice from the outside but little money has been spent on maintenance. Read the reviews. I too have mice. This last month with all the snow the facility has only been plowed maybe twice. And only one lane down the middle, shoving the piles of snow in front of the door entrances. Spoke to the site manager and was told the plower quit some time ago and a tenant plows when he can. Was told they can't find anyone to plow and corporate won't give any money to hire a local. Pictures are from 2/16/2022. This is many days after the last snow event on a day temperature was in the 50's. Had to chisel the hardened ice/snow for a two foot wide access pathway. Took me twenty minutes. emailed corporate two weeks ago about when they were going to plow. NEVER got a response. To note you can't contact corporate with regular email. Only way is on their website. Which gives you no record of ever contacting them. Oh, and they raised rates 11% this year. Time to donate or sell my stuff and get out of this abusive business relationship.
Went in basically to get some info on prices. The person (name started with a C) in the office that day was wonderful, explained things and the pricing.. we got a unit in a different site (on Sanitarium) than where the office was (Canton Rd). Went to look at the unit after, and cide didn't work, called office and she was so helpful giving us a code that would let us in so we could find our unit. Went back a few days later and our code did work. Nice clean storage unit. My only "complaint" is that the keypad is so low that if we use our truck 2 people have to go because one has to get out of truck and put in the code then jump back in. Both keypads are too low if in a pickup or larger truck.
Just now rented the 10x10 unit. Everything went smoothly from the initial call and having Rod getting me started, to going to the office to sign the contract and pay with Cassandra. All very pleasant to deal with.
Excellent service from Cassandra! She gave me all the details!
