RATS. I’ve been renting storage units for 10 years and have never had an issue like this. I don’t store food or anything that would attract pests, yet my unit and belongings were completely covered in rat droppings. When I brought this to staff and asked to move, they said I could switch to another unit of the same size — but only if I paid an extra $200 per month. They also confirmed they don’t use any rat deterrents in the units. I normally don’t leave reviews, but if this saves someone else from dealing with what I went through, it’s worth posting.

A very smooth storage unit reservation, unit sizes to accommodate any customer and peace of mind that belongings are secure behind a gated property. Customer service was top notch!

He was super unhelpful at trying to help me find the best price and felt as though he was trying to hide the special price that was clearly on the website and talked down to me like I was a child. Terrible service. Glad I didn't get a storage unit here, bringing my business elsewhere.
Jamie LindI have used Extra Space Storage twice in beaverton. The staff has always been friendly. Grounds and storage units always very clean. The monthly rent will however increase A LOT. Excellent storage for short term due to that. I really like the upgrade to electronic entry with app on phone.
