Being part of the Slate Belt Chamber of Commerce has been an incredibly positive experience. While it may be small in size, it’s truly powerful in the impact it makes. There’s a genuine hometown feel that’s hard to find. Everyone that I have come across is supportive, welcoming, and invested in each other’s success. It starts with Beth who does an amazing job setting up events and organizing everything. The connections, resources, and opportunities the chamber provides have added real value to my business. It’s more than just networking, it’s about building relationships and being part of a community that wants to see you grow. I’m grateful to be a member and highly recommend getting involved.

I can't say enough about the wonderful welcome I received when I first contacted the Slate Belt Chamber to see if my business, Social Seed Media, could join. Even though I am located outside of the Slate Belt, a number of my clients are #SlateBelt businesses, and I have come to love the region for its strong sense of community. Executive Director, Laura McLain responded with an enthusiastic, "Absolutely!" Not only was I encouraged to join, but I was invited to co-present a workshop on "Leveraging Social Media" and have enjoyed the strong network of business support through this independent Chamber. Having recently attended their Summer 2019 Business Meeting, I was inspired by all of the dedicated Board Members who volunteer to keep the Chamber of Commerce moving forward in their mission of supporting local businesses.
