The physical space is great, but the sudden, massive, and poorly communicated rate hike has completely ruined the experience. I understand month-to-month price fluctuation, but the way this was handled is unacceptable. Four months into my rental, my rate was doubled (a 100% increase) under the guise of being the "market rate." This feels like nothing less than a cash grab, especially since I can rent a larger unit in the same facility for less than my new rate. My issues are: 1) No Contractual Notice: Per their own agreement, I am owed a written rate-change notice, which I never received. 2) Sudden, Excessive Increase: A 100% increase after only four months is predatory. 3) No Alternatives Offered: I was not offered any form of a locked-in rate or long-term contract to protect against this. When I called to explain I never received the notice, the customer service was atrocious. They simply recited a script about the notice being sent on a specific date, with zero acknowledgment or apology for the problem. They then offered to "lower" the rate to an amount that was still exorbitant, proving the initial doubled price was meaningless. Poor communication and excessive, sudden fee increases mean I cannot recommend this facility.
