DO NOT RENT A STORAGE UNIT FROM THIS PLACE! I cannot stress this enough. My partner and I rented a unit here from May 2024 - May 2025 while we were on school rotations. Initially, we thought this was a good facility because of the seemingly great reviews and previous good experience with Extra Space Storage, but we were so, so wrong. After a few months of no issues, we heard from the company that they were increasing our prices from $95.50/month to $144.10/month. In the past at Extra Space Storage, we have only experienced a $4/month increase. We were frustrated but decided to deal with it because we had no other options. When we were able to check on our storage unit in January 2025, we were HORRIFIED to discover rodent feces on every surface of all of our belongings. We had absolutely ZERO FOOD in our unit and the rodents must have come in from another unit. It seems to have been occurring since putting our things in the unit in May 2024. We immediately told management, who wanted to take one of our keys to "check" on the unit from time to time. They also placed rat poison in all corners of the unit. We obviously did not give them a key, but they were seemingly unbothered by the rat poop and weren't inclined to do anything about it, like cleaning our unit/stuff or having a pest control person out to treat the unit. Red flag #2. They decided not to do anything, even though THE CONTRACT clearly states they take care of pest control. After many months of frustrating correspondence, we were finally able to move our stuff out of the infested unit and found an unbelievable amount of poop in every crevice of most furniture, most notably a queen box spring that had multiple holes from rodents living inside it. There was poop on or in almost every piece of furniture. During the move-out process, management REFUSED to help with any of the costs of broken or damaged furniture or belongings. Many of our clothing items and soft textiles like pillows were yellow with urine and completely un-salvageable. Trash bags were ripped open. The company refused to help us dispose of our damaged box spring and threatened to charge us if we left it behind. We spent an entire day disinfecting and cleaning the unit because of their refusal to help us. After sweeping out and cleaning the entire unit, we bagged up our trash to take to the dumpster and guess what we found? RODENT POOP EVERYWHERE! Management said ours was an isolated issue most likely due to some food being left in the unit, but after having seen the dumpster, we realized this was a facility-wide problem. This facility is infected with either rats, mice, or both. If you have no other choice but to use this facility, PLEASE get the insurance. The only reason we were able to purchase some new things was because we were able to get some money back from our damaged things. Think twice about using Extra Space Storage on N. Hollywood.

Highly recommend this location and especially Darren for anyone looking for top-notch service and peace of mind with their storage needs!

Leaving felt only blessed! I arrived at 5:53 pm contract/ review, update info, payment, code & tour! Contract email at 5:58pm. Perfect timing they close at 6 pm. Only have chosen Extra Space for storage Best place for my extra space. Thanks will return. I recommend Mr. Will at Hollywood location or any closer to you! Emergency move. Thanks. I feel safer with its in storage than in home.
