This is for the Leander, TX location at 1972 US-183 - If you’re looking for top-tier customer service, Sergio at Extra Space Storage is truly in a league of his own. From day one, Sergio has been nothing short of exceptional. He is incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely cares about the people he’s helping—it’s not something you see everywhere these days. He takes the time to answer questions, offer solutions, and make sure everything runs smoothly. You can tell he knows his stuff, and more importantly, he cares about doing it right. We currently have three units at this location, and there’s not a single reason we would ever consider going anywhere else. Sergio keeps the property spotless, well-maintained, and secure, and he’s always on top of things. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and in creating a positive experience for his customers. Honestly, other storage facilities in the area could take a few notes—Sergio sets the standard. If every business had someone like him, customer service would be in a much better place. Access to my unit was always convenient, and I really appreciated how well-lit and organized everything was. If you’re expecting any customer service or transparency from this location, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere. My monthly rate jumped from $247 to $315 with no prior notice. So what am I expected to do....move all of my stuff out of my 10x30 unit with a 1-2 day notice?!? On top of that, their app was slow to update, so the new amount didn’t even show up for several days. I checked the app every day for three days to make my payment and never saw the adjusted amount appear. I then had to leave on a business trip and got wrapped up with work. When I finally logged back in on my way home, I discovered a $62 late fee for being just one day late. When I called, the “General Manager” told me I’d had a six-day grace period, but refused to acknowledge that the first three days—when their own system wasn’t showing the updated price—were on me, not them. For context, I had previously paid four months in advance specifically to avoid issues like this. Then out of nowhere, my rate jumped by $68 with zero warning or communication. I don’t have a problem with Extra Space Storage as a company overall, but my experience with this particular location has been extremely disappointing. Between the lack of transparency, the surprise price increase, and the unwillingness to take responsibility, I CANNOT recommend this location to anyone.

I had a great experience renting a storage unit at this Larkspur location. Rachel was fantastic—after I completed my rental online, she personally called to provide helpful information about the facility and answer any questions I had. When I arrived, I was impressed by how clean and well-maintained the facility was. It was refreshing to find a storage facility staffed by professional, friendly people who genuinely care about customer service.
