This company is running what feels like a textbook bait-and-switch scam. The rate was advertised as $38 a month plus a $15 protection fee. That’s the price I agreed to when I signed up. After two months, I logged into my account and saw the next month’s charge was going to be $159. That’s more than three times the price I agreed to. When I called to ask how this was possible, I was casually told that buried in the contract is a clause allowing them to raise the price at any time. So the advertised price is essentially meaningless. This business model is incredibly deceptive: lure customers in with a low promotional rate, wait until they’ve moved all their belongings in and are locked into the inconvenience of moving them again, and then jack the price up dramatically. Technically hiding behind fine print doesn’t make this practice ethical. It’s dishonest, predatory, and clearly designed to trap customers after they’ve already committed. Companies that operate this way should be ashamed of themselves. If you’re considering renting here, learn from my mistake and read every line of the contract—or better yet, find a company that doesn’t rely on misleading pricing to get customers in the door.
I have had storage units at this location for almost 20 years and the current onsite Manager-Lonnie Nelson is without a doubt the best manager ever. He’s extremely professional and helpful whenever I need his assistance with any issues involving my units. This is greatly appreciated always! Thank you!
Lonnie was awesome today and expeditiously got my second rental taken care of for me. Internet was not playing friendly. I appreciate the kindness of his voice and outstanding customer service. Every customer service representative has exceeded expectations as well. I even got a callback on the holiday to ensure I had access to my unit. Thank you!
Renters be aware, the prices online are just to get you in the door then they pull the rug from under you 3 months in and charge you double. There is no indication online that the prices are promotional and nothing in the contract either, other than it's a month to month lease. Our experience has been AWFUL with this company. We moved everything in, and that's not simple task, then 3 months in, we get a mailer... NOT MAILED to us, just placed in our mailbox, as if someone drove it to our mailbox, because there is no POST STAMP. While the contract says we would be given a ONE month notice of price changes, it was definitely less than a month, indicating that our price would double at the next months rent. Naturally, we moved out and found another place. This place is a scam and it's completely FILTHY and old.
I have been a client renting a 10 x 30 storage unit since approx. November 2024. Josh the original Manager was soon replaced by Lonnie. From day 1 Lonnie was on top of his game managing the location I was at. I'd have to say that you would be hard pressed to ever see Lonnie sitting down as he is always being productive improving and maintaining the entire facility. The facility has been immensely improved since Lonnie first took over the management. Several specific areas have improved such as the cleanliness of the facility, maintenance of the facility and the overall security of the facility. Lonnie s always ready to help clients such as myself and very responsive. I can honestly say that having Lonnie here makes all the difference to customers like me. Lonnie and GoStoreIt gets all Gold Stars from this client. It's been a pleasure doing business and I highly recommend Lonnie and the facility.
