Today’s experience with Kaitlyn was very good. In the past there have been experiences that weren’t good at all such as closed during posted open hours and big rate increases. Hopefully they will continue to be responsive when customer service is poor. Time will tell.

I honestly have hated the time we have been renting here. Set up process wasn't bad online but when we got there, the lock for our unit, that we were forced to buy from them, wasn't there so when we called they told us to take an unused lock from another available unit. The layout and number is also SO confusing. Then after 3 months they suddenly doubled our rental fee from about $40 a month to $80. I made sure before renting that our price wasn't a promotional thing and it wasn't. Their reason for increasing our rate so drastically was listed as "matching the economy". I think it's a bunch of garbage and that they likely do that to everyone after you start renting from them. For as much as we pay, I expected a better kept place (a lot of the road ways have cracks/pot holes and during the winter, if your unit was shaded during the heat of the day, then you always had snow and ice in front of your unit). Overall I'm extremely frustrated and currently looking at moving my stuff somewhere else. The only reason I have it 2 stars instead of 1 is that I do feel my stuff is safe there. So if that's the only thing that matters to you, then this place will be great.

Greedy company! I've been with this location for a few years now, and after Extra Space took over they increased my rate from around $100 to $119 two years ago. Last year, they sent a notice saying they were increasing it to $169, and today I get a notice saying it's going up to $199! This is ridiculous and it pisses me off, to be honest. Out of frustration, I don't care if I pay the same price elsewhere, I will be laving Extra Space Storage for a different company. What's more frustrating is they snatched up several locations around town, so naturally they are driving prices up and making it impossible for the average person to afford to rent from them. For $2400 a year, I might as well buy another shed and put it in my back yard to store everything. I might just do that.

I had this storage unit for two years and without notification they started charging me an outrageous amount. When I talked to them in person they informed me it had been raised based on the “street value” of the unit. I don’t have any faith in a company that will change the price as they see fit and without notification.
