When I first went to this facility everything was fine. However, it has gone downhill, they keep raising their amount almost every month. It would be fine if the locks they put on the doors weren’t so cheap. I went there yesterday to put some stuff in there and the door would not lock, it’s cheaply made. Since it was close to closing I couldn’t even get anyone to assist and had to leave it unlocked. When I called this morning they stated they’d put a temporary red lock for the inconvenience and to call to get the code. I get there and the door is still unlocked 3 hours later. I could sue them for the irresponsibility. Anyone could have easily accessed and stolen all of my belongings due to them being negligente. You’d think for paying almost $300 a month they’d take that into consideration.
Renting the unit with the nice lady, Rennie, at the front desk was easy and the first few months were great. Then one day, I go to borrow a cart from the office and the office is gone, replaced with an ipad on a stand to connect with a virtual assistant. After the staff was let go, things quickly went downhill. The carts disappeared, the gate worked sporadically and then didn't work at all for a month, trash was always strewn about outside and in, the elevators stopped working for weeks, the AC rarely works (it was 95 degrees in my climate-controlled unit last week), the bathrooms were a mess - light bulbs missing, trash piled in the corner, and no soap, paper towels, or toilet paper for weeks on end. (I have photos of all of this if the management cares to see them.) I used call to report the issues but got tired of them telling me that they had dispatched someone to take care of it. And how did they thank their customers for their patience through all this? They raised the rates, by a lot. We started at $90 last spring. In the fall, it was raised to $187. Yesterday, I got an email saying it would go to $279 in 30 days. I'm done. This business doesn't care about it's customers. I'll be moving my stuff out at the end of the month.
5 stars, just be aware promotional periods end and the rent can increase with no written upper limits in the contract. There is a notice that must be given before they raise the rent, so be attentive to that and be prepared to pay much more or move after your promotional period.
Had some problems with getting a lock that fit the mechanism on the storage door. But the multiple staff I dealt with were all helpful. Was finally given a cylinder lock that fit.
Representative was very helpful and totally willing to please and answered all questions that was directed to her; yet this is the first storage facility, I’m believing that’s in the area that there is no one on site to physically speak with, everything is on screen with AI, and then I’m wanting to believe the person that comes on screen or you finally get to talk too on line and over the phone is a real live person…. My concerns were heard and addressed with concern…”the only problem I see is what if some get extremely sick while at the storage alone or have a heart attack…. Yes, cameras are there but they might not pick up the person there…if an attendant was on site they’ll be able to show the units and be more personable!
