I access my unit infrequently and was surprised to discover how much the customer service and facility quality has fallen off. When I arrived there were zero employees present. This would have been useful to help with some of the problems. My first problem is that none of the elevators in the facility worked. (See videos). This makes it hard to access a storage unit on the upper floors. It didn’t matter if you pushed the button, held the button looked awkwardly at the button the elevators disnt work from the first floor. Thankfully during my first trip someone came down from upstairs. The second trip I had to take the stairs up. My second issue is that they have one cart for the entire facility. For a company that’s sent three monthly rate increases in 18 month that’s unacceptable. It certainly makes it difficult to unload items when your unit is on an upper floor and in the middle and have to haul it out by hand despite paying an exorbitant monthly cost. I really don’t think it’s an outrageous ask to have working elevators and carts at a storage facility. Carts aren’t a huge capital outlay. I don’t know how you can function as a business in this context without functional elevators. I’m sure I’ll get a BS generic message from their corporate AI bot in response to this review but if you’re looking to store items, Self Storage Plus Liberty Harvest isn’t it. It’s a festering craphole of disrepair and disregard. They are exceptionally good at getting their payment monthly. Not that you’ll get anything in return on that investment. Avoid at all costs. EDIT: In response to the customer service AI bot, I emailed your customer service email address last week. You guys haven't seen fit to respond.
I had found out that I recently was being charged for an old unit, I went in person to make sure that they knew I was move to a small unit. I dont even have access to it on my account. I was charged for 2 months and have alarms on my card since I got a new one kept seeing text I missed a payment but check my account as good after adding the new card. I have call the number and no one answers left multiple voicemails, and no call backs. This place is the most unprofessional storage unit I have ever used and they increase the rates after 6 months make it a ridiculous increase. Corporate greed is killing businesses.
Have been a customer of this facility for many years, but I’m now looking for a new one. It seems like every time we come to access our unit something is broken. As somebody else has mentioned, the elevators frequently don’t work. This has prevented us at least twice from getting something heavy out of our unit when we needed it. Today the doors closest to our unit aren’t working either. For the prices paid, it seems like the least this place could do is ensure all the facilities are working as they should be at all times.
The service level at this location has decreased seriously since we reserved a unit here. This past Sunday we want to remove some holiday items out of storage and there was only 1 cart in the entire facility. There was only one other family there and I can only imagine how frustrating this would be with multiple people here all trying to compete over 1 cart. On top of that one of the elevators was again out of service. I have no idea how long it had been out of service, but will see when we need to go return boxes to storage. If things aren't resolved quickly with the cart situation we will seriously consider moving to a better company.
I’ve never left a negative review before, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. The manager at this storage facility was extremely unprofessional. Instead of helping resolve a simple issue, he raised his voice and spoke to me in a rude, sarcastic way. Every interaction I’ve had with him has been dismissive, eye rolling, talking down, and treating me as if I were a child. During my most recent visit, the situation escalated to the point where I left shaking. No customer should ever be screamed at or made to feel that way. This is not the kind of service anyone expects when they are paying for storage. I hope management takes steps to address this behavior, because customers deserve to be treated with respect.
