Big Door review Seems my review is missing so I am adding it back in. I have recently rented from Big Door and want to let ANYONE who is thinking of using them to look somewhere else. These people are horrible to do business with, they are a total rip off! So here is my story- Called 5/2021 asked for unit, gave me unit 38. Charged me for a month and a half, plus $100 deposit just to keep the unit, ok I am ok with that. Paid them immediately. Moved my stuff in, June came around, sent my payment to them 1 week before it was due, they called me and said they didn’t get the payment, said yes it was sent, had bank verification, they said oh well we will have to call owner, meanwhile bullying texts about not receiving payment. Finally get it straight. July rolls around this time send my payment even earlier to the address listed on their website, again, they didn’t not receive it, bullying texts and phone calls, finally on July 29 almost 40 days after I sent it they find it! What the heck do they not know how to do bookkeeping! Also tell them we will be moving out end of August. August 31 comes around and we call to tell them again that we moved out and the unit is good. They request pictures of the unit, we agree then I get an email that says they will not be refunding my deposit because I didn’t call them with 28 days notice, yet when I spoke with the gal she said they showed us never even move in. We called they didn’t have us renting, they could never find our checks, and they STOLE our $100 deposit. So in a nutshell, if you rent with Big Door, they will bully you and steal your money for being an upstanding On time renter! THEY SUCK- STAY AWAY!!! Big Door, should you read this, I will be taking this to social media for all of Vilas county and Oneida county as well, you should not be in business until you learn how and stop ripping people off! Sincerely UNIT 38 PS WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS BUT IT WAS NOT AN OPTION!
10/01/2020 Dear Mr. Weber I need your help with this issue. We just yesterday were informed by by e-mail that our unit would be locked and our things sold, when in fact a check for payment for a full year of rent has been issued for payment but has not been cashed and we have not been able to ascertain whether or not the check is lost in the mail or if we are just being ignored by building management and yourself. Poorest customer service I have experienced in a very long time. Multiple phone calls attempting to contact the building owner have gone unanswered, even after several attempts on multiple occasions. No response whatsoever in 4 years about the possibility of electricity in my unit. 10/6/2020 Dear Mr. Weber, Thank you for the prompt resolution to my issue with your management company. In spite of what you may or may not believe to be the facts of my situation all has been resolved and hopefully won't happen again in the future.
This facility is very clean and secure. The online payments make it really simple to pay and you can set it up so the payments are automatic or use a credit card. Management is friendly and responsive.
Great folks! Got us undercover just before the big storm.
