We have had a great experience with them so far. We got an HOA violation for having storage on our porch (it was provided for our landlord) and we were told we had to remove everything on our porch and the storage container in less than a week. I was able to reserve to storage unit online at work and then next day we we warmly greeted by employees that were very helpful with answering questions. Overall they helped us stay positive in a normally not so pleasant situation. I would definitely recommend.Full Review
I found that Carla, who was in the office when I went in to set up my rental, was knowledgable, efficient, personable, and just great to deal with. When I found out that the storage that she first set me up with was raised from the ground by about 10", she found me another space that was flush with the ground (I'm storing heavy speaker cabinets, so lifting by myself is not fun) right away. My only complaint is that the neighbor on one side has an office set up in his unit and is a smoker, so the smell gets into my unit. Hopefully not enough to make my stuff stink. But I'm sure Carla will find me another unit if it turns out to be a real problem.Full Review

I cannot remember the ladies name that helped me on Thursday when I signed my lease at the Sugar Bin Storage but she is AMAZING. I made an online reservation and came in later that day to fill out paperwork and make a payment. When I arrived she has all of my paperwork ready and easily accessible. She did an amazing job at explaining the costs as well as the lease agreement. It was very quick but efficient start process. She was friendly and brightened my day. As this is all new to me she made every step a lot easier. I will always rent from here as well as recommend this storage. Thank you!!Full Review

Denver, CO Car Storage Tips

Most Common Types of Car Storage

Indoor storage - Much like traditional self-storage, indoor storage units are the safest, most secure option for your vehicle, however because of that they are also the most expensive. Prices do vary by size, and some small cars/motorcycles can fit in a 10x10 or 10x15 unit, but your average size automobile will require a 10x20 unit.

Outdoor storage - Outdoor storage ranges from an unpaved lot to a dedicated parking spot on the facility grounds. Typically these spots are uncovered, however some outdoor options do have canopies you can park under. These spots will cost more than their uncovered counterpart, but they are still a much cheaper option than indoor vehicle storage.

Tips on How to Store a Car at a Storage Facility

  • Measure your car before you rent your unit to make sure you choose the right size
  • Give it a good cleaning before placing the vehicle in storage
  • Change the motor oil
  • Inflate the tires
  • Purchase fuel stabilizer
  • Once in storage, disconnect the battery
  • Don’t use a parking brake
  • Always keep your vehicle covered with a car cover
